Our opinion on fee vs commission:

FIDIUS is a fee based financial planning practice. We thus distance ourselves from commission driven sales of insurance products without necessarily rendering a service relevant to the remuneration. We focus on client needs, analysis, writen advice, implementation,  monitoring and only charge a fee relevant to a service rendered.

It is our opinion that professionalism and objectivity to the benefit of a client may be lost if the remuneration or fees will only be earned through commissions if a product is sold. Many clients need advice or restructuring of current asstes only which we can provide without having to force sell a product to earn income for services rendered.

Therefore we offer our services on a fee basis to our clients whilst they have the choice of paying us directly or via a fee account. The fee account is credited to the benefit of the client with any commissions that may be transferred to us with the full consent and knowledge of our clients.

Fees are always quoted in advance and our fee structure is discussed and agreed upon during your first complementary consultation.
